Within ten working days, you receive a detailed editorial diagnostic — not a vague encouragement letter, but a structured analysis of narrative arc, pacing, voice consistency, and market positioning. We identify what's working, what's not, and what the manuscript needs to become publishable.
This stage costs nothing beyond the initial consultation fee. We believe you deserve clarity before commitment.

Building Your Book's Blueprint
Not every book needs the same scaffolding. A memoir requires different structural logic than a business guide or a literary novel. We create a bespoke chapter-by-chapter plan — a living document that evolves as you write. This is where the real collaboration begins.
The Deep Edit

This is the longest stage and the most important. Our editors work through your manuscript in two full passes: the first for structure, logic, and narrative; the second for voice, rhythm, and reader experience. You'll receive annotated chapters with marginal notes, not just tracked changes.

Once the big-picture work is done, we shift to precision. Grammar, consistency, fact-checking, style guide adherence, formatting — every sentence examined. Our copy editors work independently from your developmental editor, providing fresh eyes at the critical final stage.

We Don't Believe in Assembly-Line Editing
Every manuscript that enters our studio is assigned a lead editor who stays with it from diagnostic through to publication. You won't be handed off between departments. You won't repeat yourself. Your editor knows your voice because they've been reading your words for months.
Our team is small by design — five editors, each with distinct genre expertise. Literary fiction, memoir, business non-fiction, historical narrative, and speculative fiction. When you come to us, we match you with the editor who understands your territory.
